For Freshman International Students taking Mandarin (Language) Courses

大一境外生華語語言課程修課需知

In Fall, 2022, the Language Center will assign each international student to appropriate Mandarin Language Courses based on the results of the Mandarin Language Placement Test given during orientation. Therefore, your Mandarin Language classes will be arranged and registered by the Language Center. However, if you do not want to take the Mandarin Language Course, you must go to Language Center to fill out an “Add/Drop Form” to drop the course.

Note: Mandarin Language Courses: Basic Chinese Course, Intermediate Language Course, Advanced Language Course

於111學年第一學期，語文中心將依據新生入學時所參加的「華語能力分級測驗」結果，匯入符合程度之華語課程。

因此大一境外新生無需至選課系統進行線上選讀華語課，如果不想修讀華語課程者，需填寫「學生選課報告單」，至語文中心H103進行退選作業。

備註：華語語言課程：初階華語、進階華語、高階華語

▲▲依據境外生華語課程實施要點，境外生為外籍生、僑生及港澳生，因此陸生不得選修華語課程抵修通識學分。

For Sophomore, junior, and senior international students wishing to take Mandarin language/culture course.

大二~大四境外生華語語言課程及文化課程修課需知

1. If you wish to take any Mandarin language course, you must go to the Language Center to fill out an “Add/Drop Form” to add the course.
2. If you want to take a Mandarin culture course, you can directly sign up for it online.
3. Class switching is forbidden. Mandarin Courses are grouped based on the results of the Placement Test given during the Orientation.

Notes:

1. Mandarin Language Courses: Basic Chinese Course, Intermediate Language Course, Advanced Language Course.
2. Mandarin Culture Courses: Taiwan Food Culture, Taiwan Folklore and Religion, Taiwan History and Geography, Taiwan Popular Drama, Taiwan Modern Art, and, Contemporary Democratization in Taiwan.

1. 如欲選修華語語言課程，請填寫「學生選課報告單」，至語文中心H103進行人工加選。
2. 如欲選修華語文化課程，請直接至學校選課系統線上選填即可。
3. 因華語語文課程是以華語文程度分班，不得換班。

2. 華語文化課程：臺灣飲食文化、臺灣民俗與信仰、臺灣歷史與地理通論、臺灣通俗戲曲、臺灣當代藝術、臺灣當代民主政治
